The Republic of Serbian Krajina was a self-declared Serb state carved out of Croatian territory during the Yugoslav wars, internationally unrecognized and economically isolated. Its banknotes were produced in Belgrade, which tells you something about the political reality: the RSK had no independent monetary infrastructure and relied entirely on Serbian state institutions, including ZIN, to supply its currency. By 1994, hyperinflation had already made denominations of this magnitude necessary just to conduct ordinary transactions.
The RSK ceased to exist in August 1995 when Croatian forces overran the territory in Operation Storm. Notes from this issuer had a functional lifespan measured in months.
