The Narodna Banka Srpske Republike Bosne i Hercegovine was the parallel banking structure established by Republika Srpska during the Bosnian War, and this million-dinar note is a direct product of that conflict's economic collapse. ZIN in Belgrade supplied much of the printing capacity for Republika Srpska's currency, reflecting the monetary and logistical dependency on Serbia that characterized the entity's early wartime existence. Hyperinflation rendered denominations like this one obsolete almost immediately upon issue — the Yugoslav dinar's destruction in 1993 made a million units essentially transactional small change within weeks of printing.
