| Obverse description | The left portion of the obverse carries an intaglio-engraved three-quarter portrait of a young woman wearing a traditional folk headscarf, rendered in fine line-engraving against a warm ochre and brown guilloche underprint. At centre, a large stylised wheat-ear vignette frames the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia state coat of arms, dated 29-XI-1943, set within a torch-and-wreath emblem. The large numeral 1000000 appears in bold letterpress at centre-right, with the denomination rendered in all four official Yugoslav languages below, and the issuing authority inscribed in three scripts across the top margin. |
