| Obverse description | Cream-toned Kassenschein printed in dark red-brown letterpress on plain paper, with a vertical pale green guilloche band along the left margin bearing the denomination '1 MILLIARDE' in upright capitals. A green underprint vignette of a townscape with a prominent church tower occupies the centre-right of the note. The issuing authority, denomination in Gothic blackletter script 'Eine Milliarde Mark', date 'Kirchheim-Teck, 23. Oktober 1923', two signature lines with manuscript signatures, and the anti-counterfeiting notice 'Nachahmung oder Fälschung strafbar' are all typeset in the upper and lower portions of the face. |
