| Obverse description | Plain cream paper ground with a typeset issue header reading 'Gutschein der Stadt Bad Homburg v. d. H. über' in arched letterpress at top centre. The denomination 'Eine Billion Mark' is set in large bold display type with a cross-hatched fill across the centre of the note. Below, a two-line redemption clause and the place-and-date line 'BAD HOMBURG v. d. HÖHE, den 22. November 1923' appear in smaller letterpress text, with 'Der Magistrat:' followed by two manuscript signatures above the printed titles 'Oberbürgermstr.' and 'Beigeordneter' at lower right. A serial number prefixed 'No' with an asterisk control mark is printed at lower left, and vertical rows of repeated zeroes form a decorative border along both lateral edges. |
