The irony isn't lost on serious collectors: a French security printer producing British commemorative scrip.
R. Faille's signature appears as a formal conceit — there is no central bank governor being impersonated, which keeps these just clear of the legal complications that have occasionally plagued similar novelty issues in other jurisdictions.
