The Aviodrome is the Dutch national aviation museum based at Lelystad Airport, and this MemoEuro — a collectible novelty denomination with no legal tender status — was produced to commemorate it. Euroscope issued these zero-denomination pieces as souvenirs, printed to genuine banknote specification to lend them credibility as objects.
That credibility comes from the printer. Royal Joh. Enschedé in Haarlem has been producing security-printed documents since 1703, with Dutch banknotes and postage stamps among their long-term contracts. Using them for a souvenir piece is unusual — and it shows in the result.
