| Obverse description | Central vignette presents a row of traditional Amsterdam canal-house facades lining a waterway, with a flat-bottomed barge moored in the foreground. The municipal coat of arms of Amsterdam appears at the lower left. Lettering and ornamental underprint frame the design in the style typical of commemorative Memo Euro issues. |

Memo Euros are a Dutch novelty genre — printed-to-specification souvenirs that deliberately mimic banknote aesthetics without being legal tender. Enschedé has produced security-printed material since 1703 and remains one of the oldest continuously operating printers in the world, which lends an odd credibility to what is essentially a tourist keepsake. The Amsterdam Holland edition is one of dozens of city-themed variants in the series.
