Euro Souvenir notes are privately produced collector pieces with no legal tender status anywhere — they occupy an odd commercial niche, officially tolerated by the European Central Bank under a 2012 licensing arrangement that permits zero-denomination facsimiles provided they cannot be mistaken for genuine currency. This one commemorates Domen Prevc's ski flying world record, set in Vikersund on 15 March 2025 at 291.5 meters, breaking Stefan Kraft's mark that had stood since 2017.
Printed on paper rather than the polymer or cotton-linen stocks used for genuine euro notes, these pieces are sold at a premium — typically €3–5 each — to visitors at sporting venues and tourist sites.
