| Obverse description | The obverse is printed on a light lavender guilloche underprint and carries at centre-left a large intaglio-style zero numeral in purple-grey, flanked on the upper left by the European Union flag vignette and the series date '2022-1' in small print. The right half bears a detailed engraved vignette of the Santa Maria dell'Isola church perched atop its dramatic coastal rock promontory at Tropea, rendered in purple tones, with scattered EU stars and a small outline map of Calabria at upper right. At lower right appears the facsimile signature of R. Paille, C.E.O., alongside the 'EURO SOUVENIR' logotype in blue and the serial number prefix SEEN. |
