These notes carry no legal tender status anywhere — they are manufactured specifically for the tourism and collector market, with face value fixed at zero precisely to sidestep currency regulations in eurozone member states.
The tower itself is the only Roman lighthouse still in operational use, located in A Coruña and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009. Its origins date to the 1st or 2nd century AD.
