EuroSouvenir's 0 Euro series operates under a license from the European Central Bank permitting the reproduction of euro design elements on notes with a face value of zero — a legal workaround that lets them function as collectibles without qualifying as currency. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to genuine banknote specification, which is part of the appeal: the paper, the feel, the security features are all real.
The Museum of the Future in Dubai opened in 2022, the same year this note was issued. That timing was deliberate — EuroSouvenir typically coordinates releases with openings, anniversaries, or peak tourism seasons.
