The zero-euro souvenir note was introduced as a collector format in 2015 by a French company operating under the Euro Souvenir brand, with Oberthur Fiduciaire handling production — the same Rennes-based security printer responsible for banknotes across dozens of countries. These pieces carry no monetary value and are issued outside any central bank authorization, yet they are printed to the same security specifications as genuine euro currency, including intaglio printing and embedded security features.
Urho Kaleva Kekkonen served as Finland's eighth president from 1956 to 1982 — one of the longest tenures in Finnish history — and dominated Cold War-era Finnish foreign policy through a strategy of careful neutrality and direct personal diplomacy with Moscow that critics abroad sometimes called "Finlandization."
