| Opmerkingen |
The 0 Euro souvenir note program, launched under the EuroSouvenir banner and backed by the Banque de France's approval framework, allows cultural and zoological institutions to issue legal-looking — but legally worthless — collector pieces printed to the same security specifications as genuine euro banknotes. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the few printers cleared to handle euro-format production, supplies the technical credibility: the holographic strip on this note is functionally identical to those used on circulating currency.
The Sumatran Tiger edition was issued to raise awareness of a species with a wild population estimated below 400 individuals at the time of printing.
