Euro Souvenir notes occupy an odd corner of the hobby — legal tender in no jurisdiction, issued purely for the collector market, yet printed to full security specification by Oberthur Fiduciaire on genuine banknote paper. This Benfica example commemorates Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, the Mozambique-born forward widely considered the greatest player in the club's history, whose bronze statue outside Estádio da Luz became a pilgrimage point after his death in January 2014.
