Slagharen is a theme park in the Dutch province of Overijssel, originally opened in 1963 as a pony camp before gradually expanding into a full amusement complex. The zero-euro souvenir note programme, administered by the PEAA and printed exclusively by Oberthur Fiduciaire in Rennes, launched around 2015 and has since produced hundreds of regional and tourist-site issues across Europe — Slagharen's 2019 entry being one of numerous Netherlands-based attractions to participate.

These notes are legal curiosities: technically denominated in euro but issued with no redemption value, existing purely outside the monetary system by design and ECB tolerance rather than formal treaty status.
