Opmerkingen

The Locmariaquer megalithic complex in Brittany includes the Grand Menhir Brisé — once the largest standing stone in Europe at roughly 20 metres and an estimated 280 tonnes before it fell and fractured into four pieces, likely during an earthquake in antiquity. The Centre des Monuments Nationaux has issued these zero-denomination souvenir notes since 2015 as a revenue and awareness vehicle for state-managed heritage sites, printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire on genuine banknote paper to euro specifications.

Legal tender they are not, despite the format. The ECB has explicitly tolerated the series provided no face value is claimed.
