The Somua S35 is an iconic French cavalry tank of World War II. Entering service in 1936, it is renowned for its effective armor and 47 mm gun. Highly mobile and well-protected for its time, it outclassed most German tanks by 1940. Despite its strengths, it suffered from limited production and a crew of only three, making communication difficult. Approximately 430 were produced, and some were later used by the Wehrmacht after the armistice. |
