Eurosouvenirs notes occupy a peculiar corner of the hobby — legal tender issued by a handful of European microstates and territories at face value, but sold at a premium as collectibles and never intended to circulate. This example commemorates the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the first held in the Middle East and the first played in November–December rather than the traditional June–July window, a schedule shift forced by Qatar's summer heat. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the few security printers with the authorizations to produce genuine euro-denominated paper, handled production.
