SEEM's zero-euro souvenir series has grown into a substantial collector market since the format was first authorized for non-legal-tender commemoratives around 2015. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints these to the same security specifications as genuine euro banknotes — same paper, same intaglio printing, same UV and infrared profiles — which is both the point and the source of occasional confusion at borders.
The Italian-language title, "Proteggiamo gli animali," places this issue squarely in SEEM's wildlife conservation theming, a recurring hook for the series. Collectors should note that print runs for individual SEEM titles vary sharply and are rarely disclosed publicly.
