| 正面描述 | The obverse presents a vignette of the Gulf of Naples with the harbour in the foreground and the volcanic mass of Mount Vesuvius rising in the background. To the right, a pizza maker is shown serving a classic Margherita pizza, referencing the Campanian gastronomic tradition. Inscriptions identify the subject as part of the Italian Enogastronomic Excellence limited edition series, with the denomination "0 EURO" and serial prefix "EUROSOUVENIR 2020-1" integrated into the design. |

Zero euro souvenir notes are a French-origin phenomenon that spread across European tourist sites from around 2015 onward, printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire under a licensing arrangement that requires each note to incorporate genuine euro security features — including the EURion constellation and a holographic strip — making them legally compliant reproductions of the euro format rather than novelty items in the traditional sense. This Campania regional issue is one of dozens produced for the Italian market, themed around local gastronomy.
They carry no monetary value and are not redeemable, but they are legal to produce precisely because the face value is zero. Collectors should note that Oberthur has produced these in large enough quantities that scarcity is rarely a factor — condition and the specific regional variant matter more to dedicated zero-euro collectors than to the broader banknote market.
