| 表面の説明 | The obverse presents a vignette of the western façade of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela at centre-left, accompanied by a scallop shell motif — the traditional emblem of the Camino pilgrimage — and a statue of a pilgrim at Alto de San Roque. Directional signage marking the pilgrimage routes appears as a secondary design element. The inscription PEREGRINO CAMINO DE SANTIAGO and the series year 2024-2 are printed across the note. |

The zero-euro souvenir note is a collector format introduced around 2015, backed by the European Central Bank's tolerance of the denomination as a non-circulating commemorative. Oberthur Fiduciaire holds the dominant position in producing these for the tourist market, printing them to legal security-paper standards despite their face value being entirely nominal. The Camino de Santiago is among the more commercially logical subjects for the series — the route draws several hundred thousand pilgrims and tourists annually, many of whom treat the note as a portable certificate of visit.
No monetary backing, no serial significance. The collector value is purely sentimental and driven by print run limits set at point of sale.
