Euro Souvenir notes are a French-led collector scheme launched in 2015, sold at tourist sites across Europe as licensed memorabilia with no legal tender status. Oberthur Fiduciaire — one of the continent's major security printers — produces them to banknote-grade specifications: intaglio printing, security thread, microprinting. The technical quality is genuine even if the monetary value is zero.
The Invalides site was among the first batch of locations in the inaugural 2015 release.
