EuroSouvenir notes are a French-origin commercial concept launched in 2016, sold at tourist sites across Europe as legal-tender-adjacent collectibles — they carry a face value of zero euros, making them technically uncirculated by design rather than by chance. Oberthur Fiduciaire in Rennes produced the series using genuine banknote paper and security printing techniques, including watermarks, lending them a physical credibility that cheaper souvenir formats lack.
The four-monument format for Paris was among the earliest releases in the program, before the catalog expanded aggressively across European cities and themes.
