Zero-euro souvenir notes occupy a strange corner of the hobby — legal tender in denomination only, issued under the European Central Bank's tolerance for promotional collector pieces, and printed to full security banknote standards by Oberthur despite never being intended to pass through a cash register. Parc Spirou Provence, the theme park in Monteux built around the Belgian comic franchise, began issuing these through the established souvenir note network that has proliferated across French tourist sites since around 2015.

Oberthur's involvement guarantees genuine intaglio printing and embedded security features on what is functionally a ticket stub with a denomination of nothing.
