The 0 Euro souvenir note program, administered by EAS and printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire, began in France around 2015 and has since produced hundreds of regional and commemorative designs sold as collectibles at tourist sites. These notes are legal-format novelties — they carry no monetary value and are not issued by any central bank — but Oberthur prints them to genuine banknote security standards, including specific paper stock and intaglio-style features, which is part of the commercial pitch to collectors.
The Overlord Museum sits directly adjacent to the Omaha Beach memorial site in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, and holds one of the largest private collections of D-Day materiel in Europe.
