0 Euro - Nová Synagóga Žilina

The Nová Synagóga in Žilina was designed by Peter Behrens — better known as an industrial architect and the man who employed Gropius, Mies van der Rohe, and Le Corbusier in his Berlin office — and completed in 1931. It is one of the very few synagogues attributed to him. The building survived the war structurally intact but was stripped of its Jewish congregation; it served variously as a cinema and a furniture warehouse before restoration efforts began in the 2000s.

The 0 Euro souvenir program run by the European Association of Euro Journalists uses Oberthur's security printing infrastructure to produce notes that are legal in format but carry no monetary value — collectibles issued to tourist and cultural venues across Europe since 2015.
