| Opmerkingen |
Müslüm Gürses (1953–2013) was a Turkish arabesque singer whose devoted following called themselves "Müslümancılar" — a word that doubles uncomfortably with its religious meaning, which was precisely the point. His concerts drew crowds who wept openly and tattooed his face on their skin. Commemorating him on a zero-denomination souvenir note issued by a French novelty scheme is an odd pairing, but the EuroSouvenir series has always operated more as a licensed merchandising platform than anything approaching official currency.
Oberthur Fiduciaire printed the note, which at least guarantees genuine security substrate and hologram application typically reserved for circulating issues.
