| 表面の説明 | Central vignette presents the western façade of Notre-Dame de Paris in detailed intaglio-style engraving, with the cathedral's twin towers, rose window, and three portals rendered in dark green against a guilloche underprint; to the right, the apse and spire are visible in a secondary vignette. The large numeral '0' in guilloche appears at left, accompanied by the EU flag in blue and gold in the upper-left corner, two circular security rosettes at lower left, and a holographic foil patch at upper right. Facsimile signatures appear beneath the PRESIDENT and SECRETARY designations at centre-left, with the MEMO EURO SCOPE logo at lower centre. |

Euroscope's 0 Euro souvenir notes occupy an odd commercial niche — legal in format, worthless as tender, and sold directly to tourists as collectibles. Enschedé in Haarlem, which has printed currency and stamps continuously since 1703, produces them to genuine banknote specification, hologram included. The irony of one of Europe's oldest and most technically rigorous security printers manufacturing a note with no monetary function whatsoever is not lost on anyone paying attention.
This example commemorates Notre-Dame de Paris following its April 2019 fire and the subsequent restoration completed in time for the cathedral's reopening in December 2024.
