0 Euro - Ľudovít Fulla

The souvenir zero-euro program, administered by the European Entity for Euro Artistic Design (EEEAD) and printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire under the same security specifications used for genuine euro banknotes — including the distinctive feel of cotton-fiber paper — was built specifically around the legal ambiguity that a note with no monetary value cannot be counterfeited in any meaningful sense. Ľudovít Fulla (1902–1980) was one of the most significant Slovak modernist painters, known for synthesizing folk art traditions with avant-garde influences. Designer Matej Gabriš handles a demanding brief: making a collectible look like currency without devaluing either.
