| Opmerkingen |
The zero-euro souvenir note program, administered by UEDH and printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire, has produced thousands of regional tourist issues since 2015 — this one tied to the Carrières de Lumières, the immersive projection venue built into the old bauxite quarries at Les Baux-de-Provence. The 2023 program at the site ran Vermeer and Van Gogh themed exhibitions simultaneously. No legal tender status, no redemption mechanism, no monetary function whatsoever.
Oberthur's banknote-grade paper and security printing give these notes a convincing hand, which is precisely the commercial point.
