Opmerkingen

La Vallée des Singes is a primate park near Romagne in the Vienne department of western France, opened in 1998 and home to one of the larger collections of great apes in Europe. This note belongs to the EuroSouvenir program, a commercial novelty series launched around 2015 through which tourist attractions across Europe issue zero-denomination pieces as collectibles — legal in the eurozone precisely because they carry no face value and make no claim as currency.

Oberthur Fiduciaire, which has printed genuine banknotes for dozens of sovereign issuers, handles the physical production. The security features are real, which is part of the appeal for collectors.
