Sklené Teplice is a small spa village in the Žiar Basin of central Slovakia, known since the 18th century for its thermal carbonic springs. The EEDA souvenir zero-euro program, launched in 2015 and printed exclusively by Oberthur Fiduciaire under license from the European Central Bank, produces these notes as legal collectibles — technically denominated but never legal tender. Each location issues its own design under a controlled allocation system, making regional Slovak entries relatively uncommon within the broader series, which skews heavily toward French and German tourist sites.
