The centre of the note carries an intaglio-style vignette of the Kallo Lighthouse at Mäntyluoto, Pori, rendered in dark red-brown line engraving and set against a pale lilac guilloche underprint scattered with outline stars. A large numeral '0' in dark brown occupies the left-centre field, flanked to the upper left by the European Union flag in blue and gold and by the series reference '2023-1'. A QR code appears in the lower-centre, and the coloured 'EURO SOUV ENIR' logotype is printed in blue, purple, and orange in the lower-left quadrant, with a facsimile signature and serial number in the lower-right margin. |

The EuroSouvenir program issues these zero-denomination collector notes under license from the European Central Bank, which grants a specific exemption allowing the word "Euro" and the currency's visual language to appear on items that cannot legally function as money. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them on genuine banknote paper using security printing methods — watermarks, UV-reactive ink, and microprinting — which is why they feel indistinguishable from circulating currency in the hand.
Kallo's lighthouse, on the Scheldt near Beveren in the Belgian province of East Flanders, marks one of the busiest inland waterway approaches in Europe, feeding traffic toward the port of Antwerp.
