EuroSouvenir's zero-denomination collector notes occupy an odd niche — legal in format but worth nothing as currency, sold as souvenirs at tourist sites and cultural institutions across the eurozone. Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor and co-regent with Maria Theresa, ruled territories that now span several modern EU member states, making him a predictable but defensible choice for the series.
