| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central vignette presents the Barachois, the historic waterfront esplanade of Saint-Denis, Réunion, with a row of antique cannons once positioned to repel English attacks during the era when the island was known as Île Bourbon. A figure with a straw in hand is shown in the foreground, while the cliffs of the corniche coastal road form the background. The designation «BARACHOIS ÎLE DE LA RÉUNION» appears above the central design, with the denomination «0 EURO» and the «EUROSOUVENIER» legend integrated into the note's layout, alongside the series number «2025-17» and the issuer reference «R. FAILLE / C.E.O / UEGY». |

| Opmerkingen |
The zero-euro souvenir note series, commercially launched around 2015 by Richard Faille and produced by Oberthur Fiduciaire under license from the European Central Bank, occupies a curious niche: legal in design mimicry but carrying no face value and no monetary function whatsoever. Eurosouvenier is the dominant distributor of these tourist pieces across French overseas territories and metropolitan France alike.
The Barachois — the coastal lagoon at Saint-Denis sheltered by a basalt reef — is a recurring subject in Réunion promotional material. Oberthur's security printing credentials are genuine; the firm handles real currency contracts across Africa and elsewhere.
