The zero-euro souvenir note has become a genuine collector category since its commercial introduction around 2015, with Oberthur Fiduciaire holding the dominant printing contract for the vast majority of issues across Europe. This example was produced by a dedicated philatelic and numismatic bureau established specifically around the Juliana centenary project — a privately organized commemorative venture rather than a state or central bank issue, which places it firmly outside the scope of legal tender regardless of its euro-note formatting.
Juliana reigned from 1948 to 1980, abdicating in favor of Beatrix on her seventy-first birthday. The "75 jaar koningin" framing counts from her 1948 accession to 2023.
