EuroSouvenir notes are a private collector series with no legal tender status anywhere — they exist purely as licensed novelty items sold at tourist sites across the Continent. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints them to the same dimensional and security specifications as genuine euro banknotes, which has occasionally caused friction with the ECB over design proximity. Guérande, the medieval salt-walled town in Loire-Atlantique, has been a popular subject in the series given its well-preserved fortifications and the ongoing prestige of its fleur de sel harvests.
