0 Euro - Gozo Harbour

Souvenir euros — the "0 euro" series — are a commercial product issued under a licensing arrangement with the European Central Bank, which granted permission for their production provided they cannot be mistaken for legal tender. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the major security printers supplying genuine euro banknotes, produces the series using the same substrate and printing techniques as circulating currency. That's the point: the tactile authenticity is the selling proposition.

Gozo is the smaller, quieter island of the Maltese archipelago. Its harbour has been a working anchorage since the Phoenicians.
