Zero-euro souvenir notes have been issued under licence from the European Central Bank since 2015, with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux among the most prolific institutional participants — producing site-specific pieces for state-managed heritage properties across France. Glanum, the Gallo-Roman settlement excavated outside Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, was occupied from roughly the 2nd century BCE through to its abandonment in the 3rd century CE, likely following Germanic raids.
