EuroSouvenir's zero-euro collector note program — launched around 2015 in partnership with Oberthur Fiduciaire — exploits a genuine legal quirk: because the denomination is zero, these notes are not legal tender and require no central bank authorization, yet they are printed to full euro security specifications including the distinctive Oberthur intaglio feel. The program has issued thousands of distinct designs, making thematic series like this Christmas edition ephemeral by design — limited print runs, no reissue.
Ferda's involvement places this among the more carefully art-directed entries in what is otherwise a formulaic novelty market.
