Festyland is an amusement park located near Caen in Normandy, and this souvenir zero-euro note was issued through the UEKA collector program — the European registry that assigns unique serial-prefix codes to participating venues, giving each note a degree of collectible specificity beyond pure novelty. Oberthur Fiduciaire printed the piece to genuine euro security specifications: intaglio printing, a holographic strip, and UV-reactive fibers are all present, which is precisely what drives the secondary market for these issues despite their face value being zero.
UEKA-registered notes from smaller regional attractions tend to have lower print runs than those tied to major national monuments, making the Festyland issue modestly harder to source in unhandled condition than the catalog number alone suggests.
