EuroSouvenir notes — officially the "0 Euro Souvenir" program — were launched in 2015 by the MEAP (Musées et Attractions en Europe en Partenariat) as a licensed novelty currency, printed to genuine euro banknote specifications and legal standards but with a face value of zero. Oberthur Fiduciaire produces them with the same security features applied to real circulating notes: UV-reactive inks, microprinting, and serial numbering. Each release is a numbered limited edition, which drives secondary-market trading among collectors who treat print-run size as the primary value driver.
The FC Porto edition was one of several football stadium releases in the program. Estádio do Dragão opened in 2003, built for UEFA Euro 2004.
