The 0 Euro souvenir note program, administered through the Eurosouvenirs network and printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire, launched in France around 2015 and expanded rapidly across European tourist sites. Oberthur produces them to genuine banknote specification — same paper, same security features — which is precisely what drives collector demand. They are legal tender in the technical sense that they carry a denomination, but no central bank has ever honored one for payment, and none ever will.
Frank Gehry's Düsseldorf buildings along the Neuer Zollhof were completed in 1999. Each of the three towers uses a different cladding material, a deliberate contrast the architect built into the commission from the outset.
