Opmerkingen

EuroSouvenir notes are printed under license from the European Central Bank, which permits their production on the strict condition that they carry a zero denomination — legally unusable as currency, but manufactured to the same security specifications as circulating euro banknotes. Oberthur Fiduciaire holds one of the small number of approved contracts for this series.

This particular issue commemorates Slovakia's wooden sacral architecture, a UNESCO-recognized collection of artisan church construction concentrated in the Carpathian region. Kežmarok's wooden articular church, built in 1717 under restrictions that prohibited stone construction for Protestant congregations, is among the most significant surviving examples.
