"Bolomig" is the Breton-language name for the town, reflecting the broader cultural push in these souvenir issues to foreground regional and minority language identity alongside French. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of France's principal security printers, produces the entire EuroSouvenir series to genuine banknote specification — correct paper weight, security thread, and UV-reactive inks — despite the notes carrying no legal tender status anywhere.
