The "Berliner Rede" 0 Euro souvenir note commemorates the tradition of major addresses delivered in Berlin by foreign heads of state and statesmen — Kennedy's 1963 "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech being the most famous anchor for that cultural memory. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints the entire EuroSouvenir series to genuine banknote specification, using the same security paper and intaglio processes applied to circulating currency, which is precisely why collectors treat the series seriously despite the face value being legally zero.
