| 裏面の説明 | The reverse carries vignettes of six iconic European landmarks: Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, Lisbon's Belém Tower, Paris's Eiffel Tower, Rome's Colosseum, Barcelona's Sagrada Família, and Brussels' Manneken-Pis, arranged across a fine guilloche underprint. A portrait of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa appears at right. The zero-euro denomination is indicated at upper left. |

The 0 Euro souvenir note program, administered under the EuroSouvenir brand and printed by Oberthur Fiduciaire, has produced hundreds of regional and thematic issues since its commercial launch around 2015. This example commemorates German spaceflight — a subject with genuine weight, given Germany's role in both wartime rocketry and the postwar careers of its engineers in NASA's Apollo program. Whether the exhibition leans into that complicated lineage or sanitizes it is a question the note itself cannot answer.
Oberthur prints these on genuine banknote paper with security features intact, which is precisely why they circulate so freely among collectors despite having no tender value anywhere.
