| Obverse description | The obverse follows the standard EuroSouvenir format, with the EU flag and the large intaglio-style numeral '0' in the left panel against a multicolour guilloche underprint in violet, gold and blue tones. The central vignette presents an engraved scene of visitors aboard a rowing boat navigating the underground lake of the Cuevas del Drach, Mallorca, surrounded by stalactite formations; a secondary view of the cave interior extends to the right. The title 'CUEVAS DEL DRACH – MALLORCA' is set in bold lettering at the top, with the 'EURO SOUVENIR' logotype, series designation '2023-1', a facsimile signature of R. Faille (C.E.O.), and the serial number prefix VEGP at the lower portion. |

EuroSouvenir notes occupy a legal grey area that consistently surprises collectors: they are genuine banknote-specification paper items produced by licensed security printers, but they carry no monetary value and are explicitly prohibited from circulating as currency under EU regulation. Oberthur Fiduciaire, one of the few firms trusted to print actual euro notes, produces these on the same equipment and substrate standards — which is precisely why they feel indistinguishable from real currency in the hand.
The Cuevas del Drach series targets one of Mallorca's most-visited geological sites, a cave system whose underground lake was formally surveyed by Édouard-Alfred Martel in 1896. The watermark inclusion is a deliberate Oberthur choice, maintaining security printer discipline even on a souvenir product.
