| Opmerkingen |
The porcupine was the personal device of Louis XII, adopted before he became king and retained throughout his reign — an odd choice that nonetheless became one of the more recognizable heraldic animals in French royal history. The Château de Blois was his principal residence, which is why the porcupine appears so prominently in the château's stone decoration to this day. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints the entire EuroBilletSouvenir series under license, applying genuine security features — including the eurion constellation — to what is, legally, a collector item with no monetary value.
